WHAT WE’VE DONE
Last weekend we had the pleasure of supporting a family night event for an aviation unit out of Salem. We provided beverages as well as 50 gift bags for all the children within the unit. A huge thank you to Claudia with the Family Readiness Program for finding us this opportunity and an even bigger thank you to MAJ Adam Lulay for allowing us to serve these families.
We had the opportunity to spend the weekend with the 442 EUD at Camp Rilea in Warrenton Oregon. Friday night we met with the Commander and his First Sergeant to learn about their unit. Saturday we were up bright and early to serve the soldiers coffee before they started their day and Sunday we spent the afternoon with their FRG coordinator to understand her integral role and how she accesses the needs of the soldiers and their families and provides them with the necessary resources. We at Serving our Soldiers on the Homefront look forward to working with them and appreciate the time they dedicated to help us learn ways that we can be of future assistance.
